Here you can see the work I have done speciffically in every project. See the description on each one for more details.
On each project, the shots I've done are edited in COLOR and the rest are in black and white.

Mars 'Celebrations'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior/Lead Animator
Animation of the christmas tree decoration characters on the selected shots. The chocolates on the chocolate box are hand animated as well.
This was a very charming project. These decorations are trying to reach the chocolate box at the bottom of the christmas tree, but when the man comes in they have to freeze and hold each other tightly not to fall down. The challenge on this section of the commercial was to make these characters look straining and and alive while they almost have no expression and the movement is very limited.
MTV 'Rythm Jerk'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Animator
It is very difficult to separate my specific work here, because this project was done by different animators, but I mainly animated two of the characters, the 'weather man' and the 'sumo fighter'.
Opel 'Racing Faces'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior Animator
All shots are full CG. I did all the animation for the characters on the shots selected.
This was a very fun project to work on. I was involved from the early stages doing the layout and cameras up to the final animation.
Smithwicks 'Squirrel'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Animator
Animation of the squirrel.
The aim of this project was to make the squirrel's performance to look as realistic as possible but at the same time to show personality and determination on the actions, as it is doing things that a real squirrel wouldn't do. I tried to find a balance between character and realism.
SSE 'Pier'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior Animator
Responsible for the animation of the oranguntan, 'Maya', on the selected shots.
The challenge for the animation on this project was to create a CG version of the orangutan that looked completely real but also to bring emotion and personality with all the limitations on the expression that the real animal have. I used footage material of real orangutans as reference for a natural and realistic body movement. But the challenge was to find subtle details on the facial animation, especially on the eyes and head moves, on shots where she is really close to camera and barely moves.

Sky TV Ident 'Star Wars'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior Animator
I animated the ATATs
Blue Cross 'Survive'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Lead Animator
On this project the dog is real and we mainly had to replace the muzzle in CG to be able to animate his mouth.
We also had to integrate CG animals with live action footage of real ones. I animated the cats on the selected shots.
Lexus 'Face City'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Animator
'Faceted' Fox animation.
Range Rover 'Accelerator'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Animator
Full CG sequence.
On the wide shot (the aerial view) the stampede was generated with a simulation by using about six different run cycles that I did beforehand. But then another animator worked on a few specific ones to add more diversity.
On the second shot I worked and all the animation. I built the scene with my own run cycles, and then I animated the hero ones.

Rynkeby 'Dance'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior/Lead Animator
Full body keyframe animation of the orangutan. For this project we used a video reference of an actor that was recorded on set. No motion capture was used.
The reason why is that the dance had to be extrapolated to the orangutan in a reasonably believable way, so the timing and the weight had to be slightly different, plus the body poses and some movements had to be similar to primate poses to avoid it to feel like the character is a man on a monkey suit. In the end I had to make up parts of the dance, especially the end bit where he does a hop.
On this project I worked alongside the head of animation who gave me the chance to lead the animation in the way of organizing tasks and the workflow. I started very early in the process before the shoot took place and I could define which where the animation needs and how it was going to be accomplished. The complication of this animation is that everything happens in one long shot of 45 seconds. The sequence had to be splitted on three sections of 15 seconds each to be able to share the animation work. Once we got the live action footage I setup the scenes to synchronize it with the actor's reference. I did a first blocking pass of the entire shot and then cut it in three shots for the animators. I worked on the last section which is the one shown on my demo reel.
Chemical Brothers 'Wide Open'
Company: The Mill London
Role: Senior Animator
Body track cleanup. This was a very special project that I had the chance to help with at a late stage. I worked on the videoclip section where she is fully CG already.
It is NOT keyframe animation, but I had to reconstruct and cleanup some parts of the sequence by hand where the body track was not working. I was not the only animator working on this section, I did cleanup passes but we had to divide the work even per body parts in specific sections.
